Enrollment Policy
Admissions Requirements
Students are accepted at ACA on the basis of a screening process that begins with an interview between the family and the administration. Previous report cards and achievement test scores will be reviewed and entrance/placement tests given if necessary. Students will not be accepted if they have been expelled from another school. Students will not be accepted if their parents owe delinquent tuition or fees to another school.
All parents or primary guardians are required to take the provided parenting class facilitated by Northwest Valley Baptist Church. The purpose of such a class is to make sure parents and teachers have a uniform understanding of ACA's philosophy of discipline. Contact the church office for details.
Each student's record is reviewed by the administration annually. It is understood that it is a privilege to attend Arrowhead Christian Academy. That privilege may be forfeited by any student whose conduct, attitude, or lack of progress, in the opinion of the administration, make it advisable for that student not to remain in the school. Students are accepted on a trial basis; continued enrollment requires acceptable grades and citizenship. No family is guaranteed re-enrollment each year.
Arrowhead Christian Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and other school-administered programs.
Enrollment Policy 7th-12th grades
Enrollment in ACA's 7th-12th grades is restricted to members and regular attenders of Northwest Valley Baptist Church. Exceptions can be made on the following basis:
The student must profess faith in Jesus Christ.
The student is a member of a sister church and participates regularly in the ministry of that church.
The student clearly has a desire to attend ACA and have an active and positive involvement in the spiritual environment of the school.
The student and parents clearly understand the standards of conduct (both on and off campus) expected of students at ACA and are willing to abide by and support such standards.
Students in 7th-12th grades are required to sign a Student Agreement that states they have placed their trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and that they will abide by the standards of ACA and willingly submit to authority.
The Pastoral Reference Form must be completed by the student's pastor each school year.
ACA, by its own right as a private institution, reserves the privilege of setting and maintaining its own standards for student conduct and scholarship. The school reserves the right to refuse admittance to anyone it so chooses and to suspend or expel any student who violates the standards set by the school.
Kindergarten Age Limit Cut-Off
Children entering ACA Kindergarten or first grade will be admitted according to their age on September 1st. Children entering Kindergarten must be five on or before September 1st. A first grader must be six on or before December 1st. An exception may be made for students whose birthdays are between September 1st and December 1st after they are tested. Testing is required before enrollment is considered complete.
