Promotion and Retention
All decisions regarding promotion/retention rest with the administration for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.
Failing grades in core academic subjects (Bible, English, math, science, history, reading/phonics) must be made up in approved summer school courses before a student will pass to the next grade.
An elementary or middle school student receiving more than two failing yearly grades in core classes will automatically be required to repeat his current grade. A high school student receiving more than four failing semester grades in core subjects may be required to repeat his current grade.
